There are more than 450000 different plants present in the world. Among these approx. 67400 plants are medicinally used, of which about 20,000 plants are available in India alone. This checklist is the first effort of its type to prepare a working list of names of all these 67400 medicinal resources found on the Earth. These natural medicinal resources are categorized under Algae, Fungi, Lichens, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms. This book can be considered as a pre-requisite for the voluminous “World Herbal Encyclopedia” which is a multi-voluminous extensive collection of medicinal plants used in different traditional medicinal systems across the globe.
