In light of the nationwide surge in COVID19 cases, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has deferred the Board Examinations for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10th and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12th. The Board has informed that the final decision on new dates of examination will be taken by the 1st week of June this year.
The Board has informed that while the Class 12th examination will be conducted at a later date, the candidates for the ICSE-Class 10th examination have been given an option to either choose not to take the examinations at all or write the examination at a later date.
CISCE has said that a fair and unbiased criterion will be developed to prepare the results for all those Class 10th Students who opt not to appear for the Board Examinations. Earlier CBSE had cancelled it's Board Examinations for Class 10th this year while it postponed the Examinations for Class 12th.
