Coal Minister says 9 days of coal stock available with thermal power plants; Says no need to panic

Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi has said 21.55 million tonnes of coal stock is available with thermal power plants. Talking to media on Wednesday he said around nine days of stock is available with thermal power plants. This stock is replenished on a day-to-day basis. The Minister said, together With Coal India, there is around 72.5 million tonnes of stock available. The Coal Minister assured that there is no need to panic. Government is monitoring the situation on a day-to-day basis. He said, the government will supply the required coal to the country.
