Health camps to be set up in flood hit districts of Telangana

In Telangana, health camps will be set up in flood-hit districts. These camps will cater to health issues mostly due to water and food contamination like diarrhoea. The Covid tests also will be held in the submerged areas in flood-hit districts.

The special nodal officers appointed to eight districts, have been directed to ensure that medicines and consumables are available in health facilities, and take measures to prevent vector-borne diseases.

Health officials in some flood-hit districts said that they had started taking preventive measures immediately after it started to rain. One such measure was to shift pregnant women to safer places like ‘birth waiting rooms’ at camps.
