India at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics

India won 19 medals (Highest ever tally) at the Tokyo Paralympics: five gold, eight silver, six bronze.
Suhas Yathiraj (IAS, DM Gautam Buddhanagar) won Silver Medal in men's singles badminton SL4.
Shooter Avani Lekhara (Shooter) became the first Indian woman to win a Paralympics Gold Medal.
Bhavina Patel became the first Indian table tennis player to win a Paralympic medal
Harvinder Singh became the first Indian to win a Paralympic medal in archery.
Devendra Jhajharia became India's most decorated Paralympian with his silver medal in the men's javelin throw F46 class.He already won two Paralympic gold medals at Athens 2004 and Rio 2016 Games.
