Minister of State for Heavy Industries to inaugurate Webinars on“Power Plant Flexibilisation – A Key to Grid Stability” and “Industry 4.0 – Success with Smart Solutions” tomorrow

As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Shri Krishan pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Heavy Industries will inaugurate  two Webinars on “Power Plant Flexibilisation – A Key to Grid Stability” and “Industry 4.0 – Success with Smart Solutions’’ tomorrow. The webinar will be inaugurated via video conference. The deliberations would focus on:

  • Flexibilisation – BHEL’s initiative for Green Energy
  • Flexible Operation of Thermal Power Plant for Integration of Renewable Energy
  • Flexibilisation Challenges in coal based Thermal Units – Way Forward
  • Accepting Thermal Power Plants Key to Green Energy & Grid Stability
  • SMART I 4.0 Solutions for Power & Industry
  • Future trends in power Electronics Devices and Topologies

National and international experts, industry representatives and academia will participate in the Webinar and presentations. This webinar will provide the necessary impetus for taking forward the twin objectives of Power Plant Flexibilisation and Industry 4.0.at BHEL, Bengaluru.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL ) a CPSE under the aegis of Ministry of Heavy Industries has accepted the challenges posed by change in energy mix and digital transformation. In order to meet these challenges, BHEL has geared up for supplying advanced process controls (APC) that would permit flexible operation of thermal power plants by providing systems for advanced switching and augmenting the precise controls of plant operations during flexible operation.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. As part of this initiative, Ministry of Heavy Industries is celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava from 10th  to 16th  January 2022.
