Monsoon engulfs Rajasthan, IMD issues alert for several districts

The Southwest Monsoon is active at all places over Rajasthan. Sojat in Pali district recorded highest 80.5 mm rainfall. Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in 10 districts.

Several people were killed in rain-related incidents. Three people died in Kota, Jhalawar, and Baran districts due to lightning yesterday. Two women were scorched by lightning in Parana village of Bundi district. One person died due to drowning in Aniket in Jhalawar district. In Hanumangarh district, one person died while working on the electric line.
