Rajasthan govt asks collectors to focus on Covid tests and vaccination

In view of the rising Covid cases in Rajasthan, State Health Department has issued new guidelines to all District Collectors. They have been asked to promote Covid-19 vaccination, ensure strict adherence to Covid-protocol and further strengthen the infrastructure at health facilities in the districts.

AIR correspondent reports, It has been directed to ensure testing of minimum 500 samples per million population. The district collector has been asked to review the positivity rate at the district and block level. Special campaign will be launched to ensure 100 percent vaccination for eligible people and those who still left out from the second dose.

Instructions have also been given to complete all necessary preparations to deal with the third wave of Covid.

There has been an increase of about 65 percent in the number of Covid Cases in the state this week as compared to last week. Along with this, 46 cases of Omicron have been reported in four districts of the state.
